Yehey Blog Adventures Event

Yehey together with Island Cove prepared a great adventure for the bloggers.

There were  30 blogger-participants that joined the activity. To say that it was action-packed afternoon was an understatement. It really showcased that one need not go far to have a great adventure. Island Cove’s leisure park in Cavite certainly stood proud and showed the bloggers what they can offer.

After having a light but hearty meal they gave us a tour of the adventure island with the guides for the bloggers to be familiar with the surroundings.

Here are some of the things I discovered about Island Cove.

Their long-term vision is to become a self-sustaining natural environment, with regard to waste management and reductions in fuel emission.

Island Cove is a relaxation sanctuary where one can discover countless ways to spend his day. It boasts of 96 hotel rooms, 17 cottages with 34 bedrooms, various restaurants, sports and recreation facilities, and banquet and function rooms.

Here are som fun facts about Island Cove

·   Under Island Coves Zero Waste Management campaign, waste generated on the island is reused and, to the extent that it can no longer be reused, is recycled.

It first opened in 1976 under the name Covelandia. They closed sometime in the 80's or the  90's (not sure which is which)  and reopened in 1998.

· The Electric Tram - a zero emission vehicle is used to transport vacationers from one point of the 36-hectare land to another.

We all had so much fun. I don't have decent photos because  of the time I was running around most of the time.

Thanks to Azrael and Aerin for the photos
